Yes I've been quiet for awhile. But not really my fault. My ...ahem "stolen" interent is gone so I've been without for almost a month now. So I tried getting comcast/charter but they tried to pull a fast one on me over the phone so.. FUCK THEM FUCK THEM RIGHT UP THE ASS.
So in the meantime if anyone would like recommend some people to check out and see if they are in my lil country area...feel free to post em. Also whats a tollerable speed to look for? All I know is that 20 dollar 1 mbps bullshit can suck it. Thats about like dialup without having to dialup or signoff.
Untill then, I'll be back sometime. I've just been busy working 6 days a week and DJing in between. I've got a gig Halloween with Richard Devine on the bill WOO!!! I'll be playing the heaviest shit I've got and relieving some stress and anger in the process. Also I've got some collaborations in the talks too. I guess this will help me get back into production and maybe get that love back...plus learn more.
OH and if someone would be so kind and DL this track for me and email it or something...I'll huggle you forever. Jahba - warpigz vip. For the life of me I can't find it anywhere and it was up for free years back and the vinyl is rare.

Well tomorrow (saturday oct 3rd) I'll be on GA Tech radio DJing for 2 hours.

7:59 pm - Iphone games
|
Iphone gaming is taking ahold of me once again. There are a slew of games coming out dirt cheap and neat and fun as hell to play. Today I got space invaders: infinity gene and it is AWESOME! They have went and changed up space invaders, gave it a nice soundtrack and trippy visuals and made it fun to play. Now I'm addicted to it. Oh and did I mention it has a mode to let you play with music on your ipod/iphone? Breakcore and space invaders?!?! Hell yea!
Oh and this game is for you Dan. 16bit on the soundtrack for it!
Then I have a action rpg game called zeronia which is like zelda with a diablo type level up scheme. Its some nice fun too.
Anyone have any game/app recommendations?

1:45 pm - Play me I'm yours
|
I came across this nice project today. The project is called "play me, I'm yours". What the project consists of is, putting several pianos around busy areas in certain locations. Then to see what people would do if they stumbled across a piano with the "play me I'm yours" message on it.
So far locations have been London, Sydney, Sao Paulo. Some areas the pianos were a sight of shock and joy, because they were never seen before or not accessable because of them being so expensive for that area. Sao Paulo for example had people traveling for hours to see one after word spread by mouth of their location. This followed by pianists coming out to play, who did not even own a piano themselves. They became gatherings of large groups, neighbors that rarely talked were socializing again.
Other examples are at a mall in London a little asian boy just playing some Chopin at the mall, where one was setup.
A crowded street of people all singing "hey jude"
There are loads of more videos springing up showing random acts of music between people. Strangers teaching each other how to play or just collaborating.

I'm getting to DJ breakcore once again next month! So I plan on throwing down with all sorts of random stuff I like....and hopefully others too! So I made a lil 7 minute DJ mix sampler to give people and idea what will be going down during my set.
Seems people are starting to follow me on sound cloud now...ever since I posted up this chiptune megamix and this new sampler. Maybe I'm onto something...who know?

I kinda forgot to post this after debating on releasing it online. I've been kinda beating myself up about it since I just did it real fast in one take with not really much planning. But I guess it's a good sampler for the variety of chiptune music out there now. So feel free to listen, download and share this. Well I haven't really updated or posted anything in awhile. But right before I had some MAJOR music software issues I was able to peel off two tracks.
Well music is now on a hault until I figure out something. It's really frustrating to keep pushing and building up your own sound and style just to have the ladder kicked right out from under you. I've spent the last week locked away with work and music, just to find out how many ableton glitches/problems I can possible find till I get fed up and walk away. So for now I'm just working on DJing stuff, playing fallout, reading and searching my head for a new sound/style of music I would like to pursue. You better believe I'm going to raise some hell at the next ableton meeting about this shit.
Music wise, the only thing I can think of as maybe experimenting around with at the moment is maybe a breakcore for girls project. Anyone up for exploring this theme to see what all can come about?

3:10 pm - Finally its happen to meeeee!

Today I upgraded my lil gear/studio setup!
I have some new studio/DJ headphones coming in hopefully Monday. But as you can see I'm running my laptop with ableton live 8, trigger finger on the right, oxygen 49 in the middle, my new APC 40 on the left and a 500 gig external hard drive.
I'm super excited about my new APC 40, and it fires up and is fun to play with right out the box. I was jamming on one of my already made DJ setups for a good while. So i'm expecting to just lay low for awhile and dive into learning this piece of gear and setting it up for a new and improved live DJ/performance setup and doing future gigs. I think I may set this up in the den tonight and just jam out in the dark with the pretty light show.

Well I remembered shortly after I posted! I shall be DJing on the 23rd here!
I also believe I'll be catching Iacchus the night before as he'll be on tour here at the same time. I'll have to see if I can get some people to go with me. I'm also rounding up people to go see him while up in the Carolina's. So I'm expecting a fun and busy weekend. I don't know whats with the lunatic lounge comment on the flyer. I'm not sure if its an in joke or more beef. Seems like a lot of beefing is going on lately and I don't get involved in that stuff.

5:49 pm - Spring cleaning
|
So I've spent the past couple days cleaning my house. Just when I think I'm close to done with this place, I always find something else to do. I've even started myself an herb garden so I can have fresh herbs on hand always. Never in my life would I dream of me taking care of plants.
Most of my house is hardwood floor or linoleum. So I think I've found something I need for my bachelor pad. A floor wiping robot!
On another note, I've rented Resident Evil 5. I can't say that it has me totally absorbed and hooked yet. There are several things that has prevented this and I don't feel like getting into some long drawn out game review of it. But I'll just say that it seems to have lost the RE feel of old and I'm hoping things will change farther in the game.
I think I had some other stuff to talk about, but I guess I forgot. Maybe I'll post something later.
